Issues
The four pillars to my Common Sense, Conservative philosophy are as follows:
Smaller Government
- Eliminate wasteful and unnecessary spending.
- Lower taxes for families and small businesses, including farmers.
- Vigorously oppose new entitlement programs, such as “Obama-care.”
Limited Government
- Protect all of our Constitutional rights, including (but not limited to), the right to gun ownership.
- Oppose “Big Brother” legislation, including red light and speed cameras.
- Eliminate bureaucratic interference and “red tape” so Maryland businesses (i.e., employers) can prosper.
Responsive Government
- Enforce the Rule of Law – including our immigration laws!
- Expand “Open Government” laws to shed light on backroom deals in Annapolis.
- Successfully championed an elected School Board for Harford County.
Effective Government
- Focus limited taxpayer resources on improving essential government services, including safety (police/fire/rescue), schools and roads.
- Preserve Harford’s rural heritage by creating a regulatory environment that allows Harford’s farmers to succeed and flourish.
- Protect our State parks – including the Rocks and Susquehanna State Park – from development.
